Here's my contribution to your quality of life...
"New technology links people over greater distances, but cuts into face-to-face meeting time.
The number of people who say they have no one to talk to about important matters has more than doubled, according to a new study by sociologists at Duke University and the University of Arizona.
Increased use of the Internet, along with the number of hours people are spending at work, are factors contributing to a drastic decline in the number of close friends that Americans have.
The findings are published in the June 2006 issue of the journal American Sociological Review."
Turn off your damn computer and go make a new friend. Maybe someone with a face that doesn't require a monitor and a keyboard to talk to. It's been a pleasure posting. And I've enjoyed the interaction. This blog is done.
Stay funky.

So, are you now the Funky-neo-Luddite? I have a hunch that this is related to Funky's globalist agenda. Or, due to my rebuke, the Funky One is attempting to get of the grid. I am hoping and praying for the later, but only time will tell.
Come on, Funky, some of us have to work, have lulls in the day, and enjoy blogdom, so give us a bone now and again.
Besides, your blog is the only friend I have and if this shuts down, then I will be without friends. Please don't quit. I need you.
I applaud your choice, even though the blog has been fun.
I would like to take a stand for the lost art of letter writing also at this time.
You all know it's much more exciting to get something with your address handwritten on it than a little envelope icon in the corner of your screen.
Write Letters!
I suspect a ruse. Like when Michael Jordan retired the first time.
If you stop posting, you'll need to do the old fashioned thing and email pictures to all of us who aren't within face distance and still want to see your family grow.
Come back, Funky! Come back!
"Organized religion is responsible for the brainwashing of millions of young children too young to know the difference between reality and the fantasies of millions. Save Yourself. Drop Christianity."
Something should be done about this fact. New technologies prevent people from communicating, computers substitute usual dialogue which is so important for us. Sooner or later it will influence our psyche greately.
