Buckeyes will play the Irish in the new year. I'm pretty excited about this match up for a number of reasons. First, it pits one great football tradition against another great football tradition. Second, they don't play each other very frequently. And Third, Brady Quinn is from the Columbus area and yet was not heavily recruited by OSU. I'd like to see if he is able to make OSU regret that decision. Ultimately, however my pick is the Buckeyes by at least 10.

Actually, Brady was never interested in OSU. He's a lifelong Domer fan.
Agree, Bucks by 10.
cool. I also read that Condoleeza Rice is a big Brady Quinn fan. That's got to be exciting when the most powerful woman in the free world digs your game. Maybe second most powerful... I forgot about Oprah.
Brady's brother played b-ball for Notre dame, I believe, so I'm sure that helped Quinn's decision.
I think I would much rather have Troy Smith in Tress' offense than Brady Quinn. Tress' O is anemic and Troy, even though he loves the glory, makes stuff happen.
Agreed, Bucks by 10. They haven't seen a d like ours and our O does enough.
I'm almost positive the ND-Dublin- BBall- FBall Quinns are not related.
I'm almost positive that kdny is smoking crack. But he's a pretty good althlete, however.
Hey,
What? It was one incident and it was kids being kids. I wish we could just put that mishap in the past.
I was a dominant athlete until about the 7th grade. If they were handing out D-I scholarships to 12 years olds, I would've been in the Big 10. Unfortunately everyone else hit puberty and I'm still waiting for my growth spurt.
They really aren't related? I read Quinn's profile at ND and it didn't mention it, but it said he was part of Young Life and Rock Solid Club, so hopefully he is a good kid.
Mike Donahoe:
1. Weis is the x Factor is this one. The man is a total football nerd, and if anyone can solve the riddle of the OSU defense, it's him. He had little problem scoring on both USC (31) and Tennessee (42), who had a terrible offense but a very good defense. The man trots a reinvented offense for every game, and that is very challenging for any defensive prep.
2. I respect the Buckeyes (sort of) but they are predictible. This game will be determined by their offense vs. the very sketchy ND defense. If the Irish defense steps up like they have on a couple of occasions this year, watch out Buckeyes.
ND by 14. You heard it here first.
GO IRISH!
Donahoe? More like Donna-who!
If you think they win by 14 than you are a crack pipe. A full blown crack pipe.
