I just got a permanent crown to replace the temporary one that I got in 1985. (Yes, it was literally 20 years old) It was the one the neighborhood kids called my "goldenrod" tooth. When I would go to the dentist, he would see my old tooth and say, "you don't tell people that I did that do you?" The ladies at the office would tell me "You have great insurance. You should just go ahead and get it fixed" Well, my GREAT insurance let me pay more than $400. Now, when I look in the mirror, I can't help but wonder if I would be happier if I had painted the tooth with White-Out and spent the other $397 on an iPod and Greg's latest playlist.
